Gabe's Bachealor Party
On Thursday night Gabe had his bachealor party. It started off as meeting at Rob's house and car pooling to the sushi restaurant. While enroute Kat's brother (Augy?) nearly missed the restaurant, but luckly he made a sharp turn into the parking lot, making a large screeching noise and freaking everyone out. While in the restaurant the kitchen made a mistake and tried to give us twice of what we ordered. Dinner ended with a bang when a random old man yelled to complain that the service was very slow. This of course silenced the entire restaurant.

After the restaurant we proceeded to Area51 for some paintballing. I chose to take cleanest looking coveralls to protect me. Well the coveralls had a big hole in the crotchal area and I thought to myself...hmmmm there's no way anyone can hit in this little hole...

Round one, Rob and Rex came in through the side and got me and Darwin? I thinks. Of course Rex was trigger happy and proceeded to shoot multiple times towards my crotchal area, and landed a few hits into the hole. That said, the night ended off with me finding a new circular bruise next to my special pal.

Finally we got back to Rob's place for some poker. Poker got boring so I decided to try to quit by going all in. (Anyone who played me knows that I like doing this randomly because I can only take so much poker). Well for some reason I actually started to win a few hands, and it started to get interesting again. Until evil Darwin go lucky and beat me.

Hotpot and Cheap Green
Friday was the day I thought I would be going to Montreal on a road trip with old friends. But I had forgotten that I had two softball games for the weekend, and had to decline. Should I have gone? Well I was bored this Canada day so decided call up Lan Lan. She suggested that we visit Lily who was working at Pacific Mall. Odd that place never closes, even on National Holidays. We went to Lily's store, and being the first time seeing her working there. I noticed that her store was blatantly selling PlayBoy magazines at it's front door. This isn't odd is it? After Lily finished work we went to Hot Pot. It's a restaurant on the Kennedy Rd side of P-Mall. It was called Rolling Pot...interesting name. The place was cool because you got your own individual pots to cook from. So nobody can steal your foods. Well Catherine dominated the good stuffs by eating all the spam. I like hotpot, always get so stuffed that I can't move.

After hotpot old man Dougy and Lily decided it was time to sleep...8pm, so they went home. Me and Catherine wanted to see fireworks, so we planned to go downtown to meet Justin, Vicky, Edmond, Chris, Ben and Vicky's mommy. Going downtown was easy from my house. But parking was tough to find, I decided to suck it up and pay the 15$ for parking at the Ex. We had some trouble finding where Justin and Co were because Justin is so great with directions. Here's a bit of our conversation.
"Hey Justin where are you guys?"
"I'm close to the helicoptor thing."
"You mean the windmill?"
"Ya ya, and I'm by the water. I can see boats."
"Ok I'm close to the lake now, which side of the bridge are you on?"
"Umm do you see trees? Ohh wait there's a car. I'm close to a car."
"Ok..."
"Ok I'm close to the helicoptor, and do you see the car?"
(Of course there is Lakeshore next to us, and a million cars parked there)

Well we ended up finding them shortly after wandering around. And the fireworks started. Catherine made the observation that there weren't any purple fireworks and complained that there were too many green ones. Vicky also noticed that and we came to the conclusion that they were cheap and green ones were probably the cheapest colour you could buy.

Afterwards
After the fireworks were all done, Al (Chris' brother) calls us. Saying that he and his GF managed to get to Ontario Place in time to catch the end of the fireworks, and they wanted to meet up with us. We decided to make it easy and tell them to meet us at the windmill. After meeting with them we decided to go to Bubble Tea. I took Al, Lisa, and Lan Lan in my car and we headed up to Yonge and Sheppard for BBT. It took forever to get out of the parking lot..maybe 20 mins? We decided to see where the other party was so I called them. And they were still walking to their car! Needless to say, we got to the place before them. While there me and Lan Lan got to know Al's GF. She's a very nice girl and was a mandrin speaker. So I practiced some of my crummy mandrin with them.

Weekend softball
Well softball was crappy, we lost to mediocre teams. Bah I was playing 2nd for the first time ever. I think I did alright. A few minor mistakes, but they didn't cost any runs. But whenever the balls started going to the outfield, it was a nightmare! Please we need to get out of this slump. Give us some easy team to play!
